THE MICHIGAN LUPUS FOUNDATION HOSTS A MEDICAL SYMPOSIUM IN ANN ARBOR

(Ann Arbor, Michigan – April 11, 2026) – The Michigan Lupus Foundation held a medical lupus symposium on Saturday, April 11 in Ann Arbor, bringing together rheumatologists, medical professionals, medical students and healthcare partners for a day of advanced education, collaboration and networking.

Presentations included: “Why is the Sun so Bad for Lupus?” by Dr. J. Michelle Kahlenberg MD, PhD, University of Michigan, Professor of Internal Medicine and Dermatology; Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Internal Medicine; Director, Michigan Lupus Program; “Updates on Pregnancy Management in System Lupus Erythematosus” by Dr. Wendy Marder, MD, University of Michigan Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Clinical Professor; and “Modulating Immunity in Lupus with Dietary Approaches” by Dr. Aaron Stubbs, MD, University of Michigan Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Clinical Assistant Professor.
