THE MICHIGAN LUPUS FOUNDATION HOSTS AN EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM IN LANSING

(Michigan – February 21, 2026) – The Michigan Lupus Foundation held an educational lupus symposium on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Michigan Athletic Club in Lansing to educate those with lupus, friends and family members and medical professionals.

Presentations included: “Lupus and Your Heart: What Patients and Families Should Know" by Dr. Majid Yavari, cardiologist, University of Michigan Health-Sparrow; “Lupus and Childhood Lupus” by Dr. Amy Trinh, rheumatologist , Great Lakes Center of Rheumatology; and “From Lab to Life: Omega-3s, Fish Oil and Lupus” by Dr. Ashley Anderson, Postdoctoral Scholar, Michigan State University Department of Microbiology, Genetics, & Immunology.
