May is Lupus Awareness Month
May is a time for the lupus community across the country to join together to raise awareness of the physical, emotional and economic impact of lupus. We’re launching the “Real Hope for a Bright Tomorrow” campaign to help raise awareness, advocate for change and fight for a cure.
It is estimated over 14,000 Michiganders have been diagnosed with some form of lupus. The Michigan Lupus Foundation exists to improve the quality of life for those living with lupus through support, education and research with the goal of finding a cure. We provide resources for patients, caregivers and healthcare providers including support groups, counseling, awareness events and financial aid programs due to the high medical cost of living with the disease. We also advocate with lawmakers to improve the patient experience with insurance, medications, and disability rights.
Donations made to the MI Lupus Foundation help ensure we are able to continue to work hard to support lupus patients and their families. Lupus Awareness Month is an excellent opportunity to rally your friends and family to raise funds to support the fight against lupus. Join us in making lupus visible by creating a team and sharing it with friends and family. The top team will be recognized at the end of the month. 100% of the funds raised go toward the Michigan Lupus Foundation’s mission.
The Michigan Lupus Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Wear purple and tag us on social media, especially World Lupus Day on May 10th. Use hashtags #WorldLupusDay and #MILupus.
Contact local newspaper and media stations to share your story.
Help advocate for a meaningful change.

World Lupus Day
